I woke up yesterday, and very quietly made my way down stairs since it was 630 and all the college kids werent anywhere close to awake, made my way across the street to grab some coffee and a donut, and then sat down to enjoy this beautiful view to start my day. Aside from almost being jumped by the bird gang that wanted my donut, it was awesome. I spent an hour just chilling, did some reading and enjoying the morning beach calm. Then I headed back to the house, to discover that quite a few of the girls were up, and they wanted to go to the beach, so I headed back. We saw a sand sculpture and were inspired to create this.
I must admit, I had a heck of a lot of fun, I cant remember the last time I built something in the sand. Our creative energy stimulated for the day (and my bladder of course acting like the needy whiny child that it is) we headed back to the house again. After some food, beach adventure #3 began, but was short lived. The wind had picked up, and I cant tell if the red on my face and fronts of my legs is sunburn or sandblast. So back to the house to do exciting things, laundry and grade finals. It was quiet because everyone was out exploring and enjoying the sun. The excitement for the day was me attempting how to play rummy, and failing miserably. But I think I know the rules now, so watch out next time....... All in all a great day off.
Headed to play Western Michigan today for a doubleheader, lets see if we can turn things around!! If you're interested, follow the games on Twitter
